Timer
A countdown or subathon timer that support adds time to.
The Timer is a countdown, usually a subathon timer, that support adds time to. It runs on StreamEcon's servers, so it keeps going if your browser or OBS closes.
It has four tabs: Control, Time & Commands, Settings & Overlay and History.
Set it up
- On Time & Commands, set how much time each event adds: per follow, per sub tier, per gifted sub, per 100 Bits, per tip amount and so on.
- Choose how amounts count. Step adds time for every full step (every 100 Bits), proportional scales with the exact amount, once adds a fixed amount per event.
- On Settings & Overlay, pick the look and copy the overlay link into OBS.
- On Control, set the starting time and press Resume when you go live.
Day-to-day
- Pause / Resume stops and starts the countdown. Events that arrive while paused still add time.
- Add or remove time by hand from Control. Every change is in History with what caused it, and most can be undone there.
- When the timer reaches 0:00 it's done: new events no longer add time until you set a new time.
Boosts and multipliers
Multipliers temporarily increase how much time (or Wheel of Time value) events add: during a Hype Train, after a raid, for a Channel Points redemption, during a "happy hour" window, or when time left drops below a threshold ("lock in"). Set them under Time & Commands. The strongest active boost wins; boosts don't stack. The overlay can show the active boost and when the next one starts.
A Time Remaining Below boost has three choices for how it starts:
| Choice | What happens |
|---|---|
| Lock in when it starts | When the Timer drops under the threshold, the boost runs for a set time (Stay on for), even if the Timer goes back above it. |
| Only while under the threshold | On whenever the Timer is under the threshold, off as soon as it goes above. |
| Stay on when pushed above | On whenever the Timer is under the threshold. If support pushes it back above, the boost stays on for the threshold minus the time that was left (1h threshold, Timer at 30m → 30 more minutes). More support while above doesn't extend it. |
Chat commands
Create commands that show, add, subtract, set, pause or resume the timer from chat. You choose the command name and who may use it, for example moderators only.
Open the event in Creator Events. Its trace shows whether the Timer added time, how much, and why not if it didn't.
