Webhooks

Webhooks send your workspace's events, such as a new follower or a gifted sub, to an address you choose: your own script, a Discord bot or another service.

Add a webhook

1. Open Webhooks and add the address (it must start with https://).
2. Choose the events to send.
3. Copy the signing secret and use it to check that requests really come from StreamEcon.

Checking requests

Each request is signed: compute HMAC-SHA256 of the timestamp and body with your secret and compare it with the signature header. The Webhooks page shows the exact format and an example.

• Failed deliveries are retried. Recent deliveries and their responses are listed for 14 days (30 for failures).
• Requests include viewers' names and messages, so only send them somewhere you trust.
