Troubleshooting
What to check when an alert, the timer, chat or an overlay is not working.
Most problems come down to the Twitch connection, an OBS source or a setting. Work through these in order.
1. Check Health & Setup
Health & Setup checks your Twitch connection, the chat bot and each tool. Fix anything it lists first.
2. Find the event in Creator Events
Open the event in Creator Events. Its trace shows what every tool did with it, and why something was skipped (a rule that didn't match, a cooldown, Safe Mode, a paused queue).
Common problems
An alert or overlay isn't showing
- Refresh the browser source in OBS (right-click → Refresh).
- Check the alert queue isn't paused and Safe Mode is off.
- See Add overlays to OBS.
The bot isn't answering in chat
- Check Twitch is connected and Health & Setup shows the chat bot as ready.
- Reconnect Twitch if asked, or make StreamEconBot a moderator.
- Check the command's permission level and cooldown.
The timer didn't add time
- Check the timer isn't at 0:00 and has a rule for that event.
- Check the event's trace in Creator Events.
"Reconnect Twitch" message
- A feature needs a permission your connection doesn't have yet. Reconnect from Connection Center; nothing is lost.
Still stuck?
Contact support with the tool, what you expected, what happened and roughly when. A screenshot helps.
